Bank Holiday Florals

We all know that Off the shoulder tops are one of the key pieces this spring/summer and I have been dying to wear this floral one from H&M since it found its way into my wardrobe.
Bank holiday weekends mean having day drinks with your friends in a cute beer garden and endless meals and drinks at night, so what better time to wear it!

This outfit was perfect for a day/night due. Dressing for day and night can be the hardest occasion to dress for as you never know where you will end up.
I teamed my floral top off with some light denim ripped jeans from ASOS and some nude heels from Very. I also had some cream Converse in my bag so depending on the places we visited I never looked out of place.

I will link all pieces or similar below
I hope you all had a fun Bank holiday, here's to the next one.

Easter Baking

Easter is less than a week away and everyone knows this means a weekend full of chocolate.
It also involves Family get togethers and every dinner needs a dessert.
This cake is chocolate heaven so it's perfect for your Easter treat.

All you will need for this recipe is ...
Stork 225g
Caster sugar 225g
Self raising flour 225g
40g cocoa powder
4 medium eggs
2 tsp baking powder

50g stork
450g icing sugar
45g cocoa powder
1tsp vanilla extract
75ml milk

Cornflake nest
1 bar of chocolate
Mini Eggs

You will also need 2 cake tins

Firstly set your oven at 180 degrees, then mix your Stork butter with your caster sugar, then your eggs. Once this is smooth start adding your flour into the mixture slowly along with your baking and cocoa powder.
Once this is smooth and your 2 cake tins are greased, separate the mixture into both tins and bake in the oven for 25/30 minutes.
Leave to completely cool before frosting your cake.

To make your frosting start by adding the Stork to the cocoa powder, once combined add the milk, then gradually add the icing sugar. Once smooth decorate your cake as you wish.
For this Easter cake I added a cornflake nest on top and topped with mini eggs.
You can decorate as you wish, let your creativity go to town.

The Bomber Jacket

The 'Bomber Jacket' is all over the High Street this S/S16 and I am absolutely in love with this Khai one from Boohoo. I adore the satin sheen and the subtle colour.
When I first saw 'The Bomber Jacket 'on the Catwalk and then watch it trickle down on to the high street, I will admit I wasn't the biggest fan as I feel they can make you look quite bulky, they are quite unflattering and they are a harder item to pull off so to speak. However when I saw that picture of Olivia Palermo in the Topshop reversible Jacket I knew I had to give it a go.
This is not my usual style however, I do like to keep up with the trends and when I can, I like to incorporate some trend pieces into my wardrobe.

I have paired mine with White Converse High Tops and then my Kurt Geiger Boots.
Let me know if you will be purchasing a Bomber Jacket to add to your S/S16 wardrobe. I hope you enjoy this post.

Chunky knit

This past week I think most of the UK has seen at least a glimpse of snow, and as soon as this happens I overload with layers especially when having to walk my Dog or heading out the door for work. I also like to make sure that when I take all those layers off I’m still warm and not shivering at my desk.
This knitted polo dress is perfect for these freezing winter days. I love how chunky and warm it is. It may not be the most flattering thing you could wear, but worn with some heeled boots to give you a little more leg makes all the difference. I teamed this gorgeous knitted dress from Boohoo with my favourite Blazer. What I love so much about this Blazer is its leather sleeves, It just gives the outfit that little more detail and can transform a casual outfit into a smarter one.
What do you think?
