She's Electric

As February ends the one thing I am longing for is spring/summer and a holiday in the basking sun. I find that I start injecting a little more colour into my outfits in the hope the sun comes out.
This electric blue skirt is perfect for the transitioning months, and comes in a gorgeous suede material so it’s definitely a staple in your spring/summer 2016 wardrobe.
I have teamed this skirt with a black shirt and accessories but as we get into spring I will be wearing this with a white shirt and converse or some 'barely there' heels for a more night-time look.

Monochrome

There is something about a full monochrome outfit that gets me excited!  You will know if you have been with me from day 1 that my wardrobe is mainly black and white with some beige and greys. The reason for this is that when I need to drag myself out of bed in the morning I don't have to think about what will go and plus I just love monochrome, I think it looks so chic yet effortless.
Usually it's black trousers/jeans with a white shirt so this time ive switched it up with this gorgeous A-line skirt from Zara.
This skirt can be dressed up or down, In this outfit I paired it with a basic black crop top from ASOS and some strappy heels from Missguided.
I also wore my favorite coat from Zara which finishes the look off. There is just something about wearing a nice coat that makes you feel so special, don't you think? Like when you wear a long dress or maxi skirt. Anyway let me know if you know what I am on about or if I'm just rambling.

Co-ord

Who loves a good Co-Ord? I am absolutely loving these at the moment, they are on trend but so comfy at the same time, what more could you ask for?
This outfit I wore for drinks on a Saturday afternoon. For a day to day look I team with my Topshop leather jacket and layer with a grey chunky knit. I am definitely looking for some more of these Co-Ords as I think they look so effortless but at the same time look so put together. I got this one from Boohoo, Have you seen any nice Co-Ords on the high street? Let me know because I need a few more to add to my collection.

Ego Footwear- Valentines

So Valentines is coming up. Some people love it, some people hate it.
If you ask most people I am pretty unloving, I don’t mean to be but all the mushy ‘lovey dovey’ stuff sometimes just makes me feel honestly a little bit sick. I think I’m just too sarcastic and PDA (Personal display of affection) is just too much for me to handle. Don’t get me wrong i'm a nice person and I’m not heartless all the time. I just don’t think all the world needs to see how much you love each other. I think the reason I am so anti PDA is because once whilst waiting for a train I had to watch a man and woman share a McDonalds Cheese Burger, and I don’t just mean a bite for me and bite for you! I mean the man had a bite and then the women bit the burger out of the man’s mouth. It was just too much, way way too much!
I do however love celebrations, whether it’s Christmas, Birthdays, Halloween or Easter. You name it, I will have some sort of interior décor in my house that shouts out what I am celebrating. My motto is... If it only happens once a year why not make the most of it! Therefore I do try and do something on Valentines (that’s if I have a boyfriend), and for the last 3 Valentines I have been celebrating it with the same 1 guy! For me Valentines isn't about big expensive gifts it's about small thoughtful ideas/gifts. I think Valentines is a day to show that one person how much you appreciate them and buying them a heartless expensive present is just missing the point.
My ideal Valentines would be being whisked off somewhere, doing activities in the day, having nice meals at night, and eating dessert for breakfast. Who wouldn’t right? But that costs money and not all of us have that much of it. So maybe you need to do Valentines on a budget, why not get dressed up, go into town for a few cocktails and have a nice meal in your favourite restaurant? Or… stay in, cook dinner together, light some candles, turn on some fairy lights and watch your favourite movie whilst eating some yummy food (that’s if you can cook, I tend to get takeaway, cause otherwise an argument may arise from my burning of the sweet potato fries, which then sets the fire alarm off) and let’s be honest no one needs an argument on Valentines.
If you still haven't got an outfit planned for Valentine's, Ego Footwear's got you covered. Below I have put together a few outfits of what I would wear for my perfect Valentines.

How will you be spending your Valentines? I still don’t know what we’re doing but I’m sure it will involve food…. Maybe a baked camembert and some sort of chocolate pudding, and hopefully dessert for breakfast.
This post is in association with EGO Footwear, the outfits styled are all my own choice paired with The Esme Heel from Ego Footwear. The shoes I have styled I absolutely love and would totally wear them for my Valentines night.  Don’t forget to post your Ego footwear purchases and use the hashtag #egosquad for a chance to be featured on their website and social media platforms.

A different kind of stripe!

Everybody loves a good stripe right? Whether it be a Breton stripe tee, or the new Novem & Knight Bordeaux dress by Samantha Maria and Jason. I am Breton obsessed, It’s my go to I can’t really say much more than that. An easy outfit for me is always a striped tee or dress however this time I thought I would get creative and go for a different type of stripe. This shirt dress is from Boohoo and I love it because it’s the most simple outfit, It’s a one item outfit: all you need to do is team with some Converse or Ankle boots for a daytime look and add a Heeled boot for a nighttime look. You’re good to go!

Are stripes your go to?

Classic In Camel

Sometimes the simplest of outfits look the best when put together. I usually am a black jeans type of girl, however when I actually have a good route through my wardrobe and see my light denims they are what I reach for. I usually team with a white classic shirt as there is something about denim, a white shirt and some heels that gives such a chic look. These Boy Jeans were a steal from ASOS at only £10.50 in the sale. My shirt is an oldie from Zara and my Leopard print heels are my all-time favourite from Office, I got mine last year but when I nipped in the other day I saw them back in stock. All of these items I will tag below so you can get your hands on them.

How do you style your denims?
